Reprising the formula of the original nearly to the letter, Back Into Hell is bombastic and has too much detail, thanks to the pseudo-operatic splendor of Jim Steinman's grandly cinematic songs. From the arrangements to the lengths of the tracks, everything on the album is overstated; even the album version of the hit single, "I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)," is 12 minutes long. Yet that's precisely the point of this album, and is also why it works so well

Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are" is a song composed and written by Jim Steinman, and recorded by Meat Loaf. The song was released in 1994 as the third single from the album Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell and it reached number 38 on US's Billboard Hot 100, and number 26 in the UK Top 40. With its chart success, this song became the hit with the longest un-bracketed title as of 2007.

Reviews about Meat Loaf - Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell (13):

I can only comment on the Geffen version, but this reissue is a major disappointment. Sides A and C are pressed off center causing significant wow and flutter. "Life is a Lemon..." is completely unlistenable. Based on what I've read from others online, I'm not the only one experiencing this. To echo other comments: poor quality control.

I'm sensitive to this issue, but my pressing is perfect in that sense. My second disc came slightly warped and with two labels pressed on top of each other on one side. After peeling the topmost off, the bottom is perfect.Seems quality control might be a bit lax. Mine sounds good and looks fine now, so I'm happy enough with it.
Foiuost
My copy has Side Three labels on both sides of the second record. Anyone else's copy have this, too?

OFFICIAL UPDATE!! THE EU Press is 180 gram Vinylthe USA press is 130 gram VinylFresh off the scale. substantially different!!

got mine from amazon too and thought the same thing. I mean in comparison to the original UK release from 1992 its better but i feel it falls short. I ordered one from the UK which apparently has a different SCU # on the back which makes me hope it was pressed there and thus better. we shall see it should be here in a few days.
Kulalas
So what is the verdict on the EU pressing, Brian?
Jack
Not impressed, bought mine new through amazon and it showed up warped and with small scratches on it. Poor quality control if you ask me. And must have been a small pressing because you can't find it anywhere now.

Amazon probably wasn't ready for this one.. They could have only grabbed 100-200 copies for stock not knowing they'd sell off so fast..
WUNDERKIND
This was only released on February 8th 2019 internationally.. I wouldn't be surprised if this run ran short on stock, I mean it's taken them 25 years to officially press this one for the world, instead of only to one country. Sounds so better than that original P.O.S. single LP abortion that they only released in the UK.. Just when I thought the K-Tel records sounded bad I found this one last year from the UK... I'm so glad they repressed this on a Double LP!!! Sounds so much better... Still room for improvement, but so much better..... ENJOY the 2018 PRESSING!
IWAS
Not sure but Amazon was immediately out of stock on release day.

How small was the pressing that you can not find anywhere anymore?

Pressing Mini Review - if you have always wanted this album on vinyl, this will be a nice addition to your collection. While the audio source probably isn't audiophile and its not on virgin 200 gram vinyl, it is a major step up from the rare and expensive 1LP original. I confused the pressing as from the EU because of how thin the gatefold is. The images are high resolution so there is no pixelation but it sure isn't full of tip-on bells and whistles we have been spoiled with in the modern age of selling reissues. Sound wise it's pretty good. I had to turn it up a little more than a standard record and raised the bass +2 to make it stand out, otherwise its sound is acceptable. CLIFF NOTES: Bare bones for a 25th anniversary. Cheap paper inner sleeves, thin gatefold, no bonus material...but rejoice if this one was a gaping hole in your collection that it is acceptable and will be getting played a lot more than that original UK 1lp abomination.

haha, i mean with a 75 minute run time, i'm glad they didn't try to shove any bonus material on the discs! I had that same single LP UK version a few years ago, it was not even salvageable. I'm quite excited to hear this new version, especially considering this has never come out in a high-resolution format. Thanks for reviewing the new LP reissue.
